In November 2015, the Transition Year European Studies class along with 4 members of the Video Editing class won the annual Euroscola competition, hosted by the European Parliament Offices in Ireland. Taking the EU motto 'United in Diversity' as a starting point, The King's Hospital Euroscola entry is a video focusing on integration and inclusion in the school. Euroscola is a unique event for schools to learn about European integration by experiencing it first-hand. Students from the 28 EU Member States are selected to become an MEP for one day at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. They take the floor in plenary and committee sessions to debate and vote on resolutions on current affairs and on issues that affect them as members of the European Union. The winning team together with Ms Viki Malcolm and Mr Cormac Ua Bruadair will travel to Strasbourg in February 2016.
