March 21st is UN Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. On this day we promote tolerance, inclusion, unity and respect for diversity. To mark this, the European Studies class hosted the inaugural World History quiz for Transition Year. This was won by South Korea with the U.A.E. as runners up. Later in the week a number of students read in Chapel, encouraging the school body to think about racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance and on how we might eradicate this from society. Following the readings, Victoria Abimbola, Deborah Agbo and Juanita Chimbganda performed a beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace.
