LC Results 2019

Tue 13th Aug 2019

Congratulations to our class of 2019, who did themselves, their families and our school community very proud today. 113 Form 6 students sat their Leaving Certificate back in June and received a fine set of results today. Despite the results being available online at an earlier time of 10am we were delighted to welcome many students to school this morning to congratulate them and wish them well on the next stage of their journey.

Six students scored 600+ points, 3 girls and 3 boys, with 3 scoring the maximum points of 625; Emma Bowie, Elena Teevan and Ben Buller. We are super proud of Head Girl, Emma Bowie, who excelled in many extra-curricular activities throughout her time here and received 7H1s. Emma has accepted a place in Trinity College studying law.

Over the coming weeks we look forward to hearing about all the different paths students have chosen, as it is always interesting to see the trends from year to year.

Highlights:

  • 87% of all papers were taken at higher level
  • 45% of papers sat attained H1/H2/H3
  • 3 candidates received the maximum points of 625 points
  • 6 candidates received 600+ points
  • 45% of students received 450+ points
  • 67% of students received 400+ points
  • 88% of students received 300+ points
  • Average points per subject > 10% of national average in most subjects

A special mention must go to Jan Nelson, our SEN coordinator and her team of amazing staff whose support and encouragement helped many of our students reach their potential and realise their dreams.

We are so thrilled for the entire Class of 2019, not just for their results today, but for all the hours of dedication they have given to their Sport, Music, Drama, Debating, and all the other activities that have made them who they are today, and continue to make us proud.

Scripts can be viewed on August 21st & 22nd. The NPCpp Helpline, which offers lots of practical advice, is available at http://www.npcpp.ie/leaving-cert-helpline.

See you all back in KH on September 7th in all your finery, for the pre-debs reception, organized by the KH Parents Association.
