| | | | | Form 6 Mock Interviews - 18th October 2011 | | | Each year Mock Interviews are organised for our 6th Form students and this year they were held on Tuesday, 18th October. Paula Egan and the King’s Hospital Parents’ Association did a tremendous job in coordinating the event with the Guidance Department.
The purpose of the interviews is to improve our students’ ability to translate the learning from their career classes into tangible experience and develop a sense of what the interview process will be like when they leave school and go out into the real world. To help prepare our students for the evening, a week prior to the event, CV specialist Mary Mooney came to the school to advise students on interview preparation. To keep the experience as close as possible to a real interview, the interviews are set up in a very professional manner with two interviewers on each panel for every student. The duration of each interview is 30 minutes and afterwards the students receive immediate feedback on their strengths and qualities, how well they did, where they might need to improve and guidelines on how they can optimise their performance in future interviews. The Guidance Department would like to extend their grateful appreciation to all the Interviewers who gave generously of their time and expertise.
