The Mock Interviews for the 6th Form pupils was organised through the combined efforts of the Parents’ Association Committee and the Guidance Department. The aim is to provide the students with an opportunity to learn and practise vital skills in a relaxed and familiar environment. They gain invaluable experience of the interview process, and are given an insight into the expectation of an employer.
Every Form 6 student had an interview lasting approximately 20 minutes. Each student was then called back and given feedback on their performance. They were able to assess their strengths and weaknesses and they were also assessed on their CVs.
Feedback from the students themselves played an important part and expressed the view that the process had given them greater confidence for future interviews that they would face.
The Guidance Department would like to extend their grateful appreciation to all the Interviewers who gave generously of their time and expertise.
