The King’s Hospital is recognised a Parish within the Church of Ireland Diocese of Dublin & Glendalough and worship according to the rites of the Church of Ireland is an integral part of school life.
The robed Choir is a distinctive feature of the Chapel services and as part of its outreach programme, its choristers perform at festivals, recitals and charity events each year.
Services take place in the School Chapel, a hexagonal-shaped church within the grounds which can accommodate up to 700 people seated.
They are conducted by the School Chaplain, who lives on the campus and is readily available to all pupils to provide advice, counselling and pastoral care when required.
The Christian Union has an active membership, drawn from all years within the School, which meets on a weekly basis to share their faith, study the Scriptures, discuss current world issues, and fund-raise for various charities.
During their studies, pupils gain an understanding and respect for all religious persuasions. |
