| | | | The evening was a huge success. Mr O'Boyle was presented with an award for 30 years commitment to Hockey in the school and Mr Noel Mahoney, was the first person to be inducted into the school's Sports Hall of Fame which was inaugurated on the night. He regaled us all with a fine short speech which filled the hall with laughter. | | | | The highlight of the evening after the the pupils were applauded for their efforts on pitch, field, crease, arena, court, river, hillside and track was the speech by our principal guest, David Bryce.
He drew some dropped-jaws from the pupils present as he detailed how he played five internationals schoolboy matches in eight days between his two sports, Rugby and Hockey, in 1982. |
